Tastingnotes van Dr. David Wishart, keeper of the Quaich
- Nose: very aromatic, big oloroso sherry blast, with heather-honey, apples and seville marmalade
- Taste: full-bodied with a sweet oloroso flavour, some malt, lemons, and layers of nougat, pistachios and ginger. Suprisingly little smoke
- Finish: the sherry lingers on with a spicy ginger aftertaste and late dryness. Altogether a very complex and delightful malt whisky
